Remote monitoring application for energy generation assets
Cefla needed a way to help their customer, a Rome-based utility, to document energy savings to be able to communicate them to environmentally-conscious customers and shareholders.
Client
Cefla is an Italian industrial group. The engineering division specialises in the design, realisation and management of technical solutions for industry and the energy sector, including HVAC, cogeneration and smart building management.
Cefla’s cogeneration devices run on renewable energy sources, providing up to 35% energy savings on alternative generation methods. They are provided via a turnkey service to councils, public entities and industrial activities.

Results
The cCOGEN dashboard allows Cefla’s client to monitor key indicators at a glance: how much fuel has been consumed, how many hours the machine has been in operation and how much electricity it has produced. The solution can be viewed in a browser without need for special equipment or software installation.
The new cogeneration machine produced by Cefla has reduced energy requirements by 75% compared to the previous solution and thanks to the cCogen dashboard these energy savings can be clearly demonstrated to all stakeholders.
